A Palm Beach family’s perseverance and resilience received media attention this week. Matthew Williamson’s mother experienced a series of medical challenges which separated and rendered her family homeless. Reunited at the Lord’s Place Family Campus in West Palm Beach, Matthew graduated high school on June 17th and is headed to college. His story is inspiring but not unique. He was among four high school graduates living at and supported by the Lord’s Place. All deserve immense credit, as does the Lord’s Place. Our social service programs can and do work. We just need to help them do so more often.
