ChildNet CEO and President Larry Rein's Latest Sun Sentinel South Florida 100 Opinion

Larry Rein, CEO and President, ChildNet

The current health emergency is especially complex for those responsible for this community’s abused, abandoned and neglected children. Ensuring that more than 3,000 South Florida foster children are safe while also limiting staff, child and caregiver exposure to the virus requires a unique blend of sensitivity, ingenuity and flexibility. Fortunately, local stakeholders and staff are responding remarkably. ChildNet is immensely grateful to all the case managers, foster parents, group care providers, child protective investigators and therapists, among others, who are calmly and consistently ensuring the health and the safety of our community’s most vulnerable children when they need it most.
