Silvia Smith-Torres, Vice President of Client Services

Silvia Smith-Torres, Vice President of Client Services, joined the ChildNet staff in December 2002, helping to create the system of care for ChildNet by reforming the district's intake and placement services. Prior to joining ChildNet, Silvia worked for seven years as the Program Administrator for the University of Miami Child Protection Team. Silvia was the founder of a substance abuse program for women and their children. At ChildNet, Silvia served as the Director, Intake and Placement Services and the Assistant Vice President of Client Services, before being promoted in September 2005 to Vice President, Client Support Services. Silvia was promoted to Vice President of Client Services in April 2006.

As the Vice President, Silvia oversees the Intake/ Placement, Case Management, Permanency, Independent Living, Runaway, Background Screening, Transportation and Medical units. Client Services provides support to the children and families of Broward County, ensuring the safety and well being of all the children on their caseloads.
