Neiko Shea, Director of Service Coordination
Neiko Shea, MSW, LCSW, Director of Service Coordination, joined ChildNet in September 2003. Neiko came to ChildNet with over 12 years of Social Service/Mental Health Experience including serving as a youth and family therapist, a case manager and the lead clinical director for a local mental health agency.
Neiko received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Barry University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. She serves on several committees within Broward County, such as: the local Multi-Disciplinary Team for Medicaid funded behavioral health residential services, Broward Sexual Assault and Intervention Network, the Field Advisory Committee for Florida Atlantic University's School of Social Work, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Broward County's Healthy Start Coalition. Neiko is also trained and approved as a Field Instructor for School of Social Work Student Interns from all Florida State Universities.
The Service Coordination Department was created to ensure that the various service needs of children in the dependency system are effectively and efficiently met. Specifically, they oversee, monitor and evaluate the Behavioral Health (including mental health and substance abuse), Educational and other related community service systems that serve ChildNet's children, parents, and caregivers.
This department works collaboratively with the local Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program office, the Behavioral Analysis Services Project staff, and the staff of Connections - the local children's targeted mental health case management provider.
