Mark Shults, Director of Continuous Quality Improvement

Mark Shults, Director of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), joined the ChildNet team in September of 2003 as the Manager of CQI. In December 2008, he was promoted to the Director of CQI. Prior to joining ChildNet, Mark worked with the Department of Children and Families and various private providers throughout Palm Beach and Broward County. Mark has over fifteen years of experience in child welfare, where he has worked as a case worker, supervisor, administrator and quality assurance specialist. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida and holds a Masters of Public Administration from Florida International University.

The Continuous Quality Improvement unit is responsible to coordinate and participate in the reviews of the ChildNet system of care, analyze data regarding performance on contracted and federal performance measures, and develop improvement activities with Client Services. In addition, the CQI unit conducts the monitoring of the contracted providers of ChildNet in order to ensure that the children and families served by the ChildNet system of care receive the services needed to achieve safety, permanency and well being for each child.
