Maxine Kamin, Director of Professional Development
Maxine
Kamin, Director, Professional Development joined ChildNet in January 2004 after
running a consulting and training firm for ten years. Before owning her own
company, she was a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts, director
of Miami-Dade College's Pre-School Lab, Acting Dean of Instruction for the Wolfson
Campus, and Manger of Instruction and Evaluation for American Express. She has
held Board positions for the American Society for Training and Development/Broward
Chapter, Human Resource Society of Broward County, and Renaissance International,
an organization taking care of abused and abandoned children in Brazil.
Maxine is the author of "Customer Service Training" and "Diversity
Infolines" published by the American Society for Training and Development.
She holds a Masters in Education from the University of Massachusetts and completed
all her courses for a Ph.D. in Educational Administration at the University
of Florida.
The Professional Development department provides training and development options to further the goals of ChildNet and to ensure that staff members have an opportunity to participate in learning experiences that will further their professional growth and enhance teamwork.
