I have been in foster care for 1 year . . . I felt like my world had come to
an end and that I had no meaning in my life, but with the help from people that
worked with me I have found out differently . . . without them I wouldn't have
come to the conclusion that I am special and that I am a person who deserves
to be loved.
Beatrice, Age 16
If you are looking for a way to make a difference in the world, make a world of difference in the life of a
child by becoming a foster parent. Foster care is the temporary placement for children who have been removed
from their home due to abuse, abandonment or neglect. Children stay with a foster family until they are able
to return home or another alternate permanent placement is found for them.
Every child and teen needs love, support and guidance to thrive and become well-adjusted, socially responsible,
self-sufficient, stable adults.
ChildNet is always interested in helping anyone that wants to foster any abused,
abandoned or neglected child. Currently, we are especially interested in homes
that can accommodate sibling groups, teenagers, children with relatively minor
medical conditions, infants under six weeks old and children with relatively
minor mental health or behavioral problems.
